I'm delighted to present to you some of the most exciting cabochons I've come across...stunning, attention-getting combinations of rich black and white or colors. Dress them up or down in your designs, and make a splash! Utah Wonderstone Lapidarist Gary Wilson was selling these, and their bold designs were visible a block away. What a neat stone! I made sure to pick up some with a matte finish, in addition to the polished ones. All have satin-finish backs.

Picasso Marble Utah is such a beautiful state. And it's home to really cool rocks as well, among them, this marvelous Picasso Marble. I've searched for the most picturesque and interesting pieces for you. Some are wintery landscapes, while others are beautiful abstractions...Sometimes just turning the stone changes the image and the feel of the piece. Satin-finish backs.

Jaguar Agate This is a really neat stone: Clumps of black dendrites are sprinkled throughout a rich caramel background with touches of white here and there, exactly like a jaguar's coat. Some of the pieces have pockets of druzy crystals. All but one are highly polished on both sides. Click on photos to see details.

Midnight Mosaic "Midnight Mosaic" is the name I've given to a conglomerate stone that didn't have a name other than "black conglomerate." A conglomerate is a stone that's really a mish-mash of minerals with matrix in between. Picture the pebbles, sand, and mud in a stream bed solidifying permanently and you've got an idea of what conglomerate looks like. This conglomerate is really neat in that much of the rock in it is silicated, so it polishes well, with rich blacks, interesting greys and muted whites. To me it looks like what you'd see if you could swim through the earth's crust. Great for masculine jewelry.

Peanutwood Yes, this is fossilized wood, all natural, from Australia. The dark areas range from dark brown to black, and the light areas are a creamy white, some with just a whisper of pink. This material is relatively rare and has been relatively difficult for me to obtain, so I hope you will be pleased with it. Click on the photos to see more detail. All pieces have satin-finish backs.

Zebra Agate From India, these bold natural designs are fairly rare. Note that some of the pieces have little trails of glimmering crystals--icing on the cake! On all of these, the design continues onto the back, which is also polished. Please click on photos to enlarge to see detail.

Pin Stripe Agate For those interested in a more subtle "tailored" look, we now offer Pin Stripe Agate from Oregon. The contrast is more muted than in Zebra Agate, with thinner, more evenly-spaced lines of soft white and warm grey. Very Classy! These pieces are polished on both sides. Click on photos to get a better look.
