Next page: More Abstract Art Carasite It's easy to believe that this material in mined in the same area as Morrison Ranch Jasper---Both have similar ethereal swirls of color and pattern. Much Carasite is a greenish yellow; these reddish browns and caramels are a much rarer color form, and I'm extremely pleased to be able to offer them to you. These elegant cuts are by Merlin DeShaw. Cherry Creek Jasper Many new Cherry Creek Jaspers coming soon! This was the new "IN" stone at the Tucson Gem Show. It's from China, and though I saw it in different places under slightly different names, most of those pieces had muddy colors and boring patterns. This Cherry Creek is just gorgeous, and, as you will see, comes in a delightful variety of colors and patterns. I've grouped the pieces whose colors and patterns are similar, so that you can examine them easily and pick out pendants and earring pairs that go well together. Unpolished, satin-finish backs. The sizes on these vary; please note the measurements before making your selections.
These are fun pieces: Genuine Cherry Creek
Jasper is framed in 'black onyx' with a mat of white synthetic lapidary
material. The hole is laterally drilled, so each piece is ready to go. These
pendants are not perfect: Close inspection will reveal the little seams where
the onyx frame was assembled, and a couple of them are a hair off from being
perfectly square. Some have polished backs, others have satin-finish backs, and
a few have unfinished backs. That's OK; if they were perfectly finished, they'd
cost 2-3 times as much. But if you're looking for an attention-grabbing gemstone
pendant at a great price, these are for you! Note: The pendants are oriented
in the way that they will hang when strung. AA775 $28.00

Sonoran Sunrise Jasper This stone should really be on the Rare Finds page: After all, think how difficult it would be to not only find the bright aqua-green of Chrysocolla in the same location as red Cuprite so bright it pulsates, but also to have thick black (probably of Tenorite) there as well....And, then, to have them melded together in such spectacular patterns--Wow! So even the rough of this material (mined in Mexico) is extremely expensive, and only a portion of it has the colors as strong and vivid as these (no kidding, they seem to glow under halogen light). Put this stone in your jewelry designs and they will stop traffic! These all required hand-polishing, so they have satin-finish backs. Click on photos to have your socks knocked off! These are exceptional pieces, from Lapidary King Gary B. Wilson. They are so varied and have so much rich color and pattern that they will never get boring. Note: Unless otherwise stated, these pieces have satin-finish backs.

Collectors, treat yourself to the sight of this stunning new Jumbo Mexican Lace Agate piece, on our Rare Finds page
Mined in the searing heat of Death Valley, these pieces resemble timeless brush paintings. They are substantial stones, some with a matte finish, others with a very soft, satin polish. In some of them, the black areas have a metallic sheen. They are very striking, yet at the same time, tranquil. All have unpolished backs. Click on photos to enlarge to see detail. This jasper is mined in only one spot in the world, in a place called Moravato, on the Northwest coast of Madagascar. The miners have to take a boat to the site, and can only extract the stone at low tide--hence the name, Ocean Jasper. This jasper comes in two main color themes--greens and yellows, and pinks and teals. All the patterns are pretty, but the stones containing the circles of color, or orbs, are considered more valuable. The choice is up to you. Each piece is one of a kind. Satin-finish backs unless otherwise noted.
