The items below are handcrafted by New York artist Alice Van Der Wetering, who adapts them from primitive motifs: Silhouettes of ancient images are meticulously sawn out of reticulated silver. In the larger items, the silver is mounted onto a lightweight black acrylic backing carved by the artist to resemble stone. The finished effect is thoroughly modern, without sacrificing the appeal of ancient mysteries.
